vampire of tehran
by Argon (Feb 1999)

within me lurks a soft decay;
time's curse, some say,
though I live (subtle smile)
much longer than they.
I command ritual night,
and scorn ritual day,
these eyes glow a lavender light
and my visage is grey;
tinged in a red-umber hue
I weep blood let from you,
that the passing years
drain not my soul
of the solace I once knew.
